AirMate

AirMate is an Android app designed to support pilots with flight planning, navigation, and social sharing tools. Its primary function is to provide pilots with essential data and resources for a seamless flying experience. With access to global aviation maps, airport information, and real-time weather updates, it ensures effective preparation for both VFR and IFR flights. The app includes airport charts and plates, many georeferenced for easy overlay on aviation maps, which can also be downloaded in advance for offline use.

The app enhances in-flight navigation by displaying moving maps that show your aircraft’s location, route details, and nearby aeronautical data. A profile view provides terrain elevation for route planning, while an EFIS-like display offers supplementary flight parameters using internal sensors. AirMate also enables users to record flights and replay them or export the flight path for analysis in GPX format.
